A few months back, our local R/C and model store got into gaming. It started with them buying out a 40k collector who had over $250,000 in GW kits These went back as far as the late 80's. There was a ton of stuff to go thru and organize. This week, we've been helping him with tables and other projects to get the store set-up. On Friday, I came across a large group of Black Templar kits. I need another 40k project like a hole in my head, but I HAD to ask the price.. In gratitude for helping him, he made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Needless to say, my Crimson Fists now have a sister chapter! More to come on yet another project.

Pike & Shotte !
I decided a few weeks back to go for an English Civil War army. My reason (like I needed one...) was that I really like the look of the WHFB Empire army. However, I'm not a fan of fantasy gaming. A good friend mentioned that the Empire was modeled after the armies from the ECW and that I should look at those minis. Conveniently, Warlord has a full Royalist and Parliamentarian army to choose from. In addition, the new Pike & Shotte book was released this past weekend. Now, is that good timing or what? Anyway, The guys at Warlord packed up my grand army and shipped it over with the stock for Adepticon. Needless to say, the car was a bit heavier on the trip home from Chicago.
I started building tonight with two pikemen and two riflemen. Four down, 546 to go.....

Carentan !
Here's a few pics of the Carentan table. Unfortunately, the pics don't do this table justice. The Game Korps guys in Indiana have really done a great job on this one. Keep in mind that this is in 28mm scale, so the table is huge. Thanks to Kirk from MBA and Warlord Games for their help with sponsoring this project.
Ready for Adepticon!
With almost a week to go, I am ready for the big show at Adepticon! Game Korps will be working with Warlord Games this year to present "Carentan". If you've ever seen the series "Band of Brothers", you'll recognize this town. The table is 8x6 and will have over 100 miniatures on it. The guys from Indiana built the table and I did most of the miniature painting. Here's a few pics of the FJ before they were packed up for the road trip to the Windy City...

Crimson Fists - 22 years later....
In 1990, I was introduced to game called "Warhammer 40,000". At the time, I was a broke college student and could only dream about owning an army. This year, I'm setting a goal to complete a Crimson Fist army like I saw on the cover of Rogue Trader 22 years ago! When complete, it will match the list from Rynn's World in the Planet Strike book.

Land Raider IB Mod
I've been busy with a new Land Raider mod for my Space Wolves. This is actually a combination of two mods. 1 - Tom McBride from Blood and Skulls Industry has a great tutorial on Apoc 40k. His tutorial is for converting a current kit into one using his treads. 2 - Chapter House Studios has recently released a mod for converting a current kit into an Iconoclast. Together, it makes the current kit look very similar to the IB. I'll be posting more pics as I paint it up for my wolves.

Warpstone Winner again!
This week, I entered and won with a custom model I made for the HQ painting competition at the GW Factory Store. This competition was for the best painted HQ model. I entered a custom mini I made by combining two models into an action scene. This scene pits a Dark Eldar Succubus vs an Ork. The competition next month is an HQ plus two units.
